How to post your letter
To get your letter on its way ASAP, simply post it over the counter at a Post Office prior to closing time, or in a red street-posting box.
Monday - Friday clearance times for street posting boxes vary depending on location. Check the details on your local box.
Items posted on weekends or public holidays will begin their delivery journey the next business day.
Sending rigid items?
Small, inflexible items sent in regular paper envelopes can easily get damaged in our sorting machines.
If you’re sending such items – especially in large volumes – please contact your account manager to discuss design or arrange testing your packaging.
Or, you can email us at MailPresentation@auspost.com.au
Sending Christmas or seasonal greeting cards?
You can purchase a reduced rate Christmas stamp during the months of November and December to send your Christmas and seasonal greeting cards.
1 While we will endeavour to meet this timetable, the actual delivery speed will depend on where in each state/territory the item is being posted from/to, and the level of restrictions and congestion in our delivery network at the relevant time.
